♦ Northeast Monsoon rains have ceased over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and adjoining areas of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka from today, the 19th January 2021.
♦ Fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C very likely over most parts of Northwest India during next 3 days leading to Cold Wave
conditions in isolated pockets over Uttarakhand during next 2 days and over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi on 20th & 21st
January, 2021.
♦ Dense to Very Dense Fog in isolated/some pockets very likely over Rajasthan during next 2 days; over Bihar during next 3 days and Dense Fog in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours and significant decrease in spread and density thereafter. Cold Day/Severe Cold Day conditions in isolated pockets very likely over West Rajasthan during next 24 hours and over Bihar during next 3 days.
♦ A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from 22nd January. Under the influence of its interaction with low level easterlies from 23rd January; scattered to widespread rain/snow likely over Western Himalayan Region during 22nd-24th
January, 2021.
